When I grow up, for my future career I would like to be in the NBA. To achieve this goal I will have to work hard and get better on all of my basketball fundamentals. My high school year will be the year I will have to start to try and reach my goal because my senior year will be when scouts from different colleges come and watch you play to see if you’re the player that they’re looking for. Also if they accept me then I will be going to college on a basketball scholarship, and so then when I become a college player at whatever school probably duke, I can make my dream become true and be in the NBA. While I’m in college I want to at least spend 2-3 years playing so I can get good experience and maybe win a NCAA championship. That year, when I decide to go and enter into the NBA draft I want my team to have players that have good sportsmanship, not a ball hog, play hard stuff like that so I can get some playing time and have a chance to show the world what I can do with the ball, and also show other teams who I am and maybe get traded to a better team. I’m not so interested in getting the money and stuff or all the girls, I just want to play the sport I love and I’m good at. So now you now you know a little bit about myself and what I would like to do as I get older. Also thanks for reading.
The very first calculator.
For years many people have been using an abacus for math, but one man will change that all. The first man to create the calculator had a name and his name was William Seward Burroughs. Although he wasn’t the inventor of the abacus he still created a very important resource that we all use today. The calculator was invented in 1885 around the time when the civil war was ending. No one is for sure of the day or month it was made but all people know is the year. It could have been made a couple weeks before people even knew about it.
The purpose for inventing the calculator was for banking. Banks wanted a faster and easier way to count up and add large amounts of money. It did make it easier for bankers then word got out what it was and so stores now had them and investors bought some and added new and improved things for it. Most of the technology that William used to create the calculator is computer chips, PDA technology, and as the more years pasted more technology was added to the calculator.
So now that you know a little bit about the calculator you can go tell your teachers and friends and they can learn how to work it and if they have to do a research paper on it just add what you have learned in this essay I wrote on them. Thanks for reading. Work Cited
